Fine Art Scanning and Giclee Printing
Hilo Fine Art Center is a premier fine art studio and gallery specializing in digital art reproduction and printing of fine art and photography using the Giclee inkjet printing process. We can print your favorite images on canvas, fine art paper and photo paper. We also offer canvas stretching services and materials.
Fine Art Scanning
We use a CRUSE Synchron 40×60 table scanner which offers touch-free, non-contact scanning under perfectly homogenous, stable lighting. The quality and detail of the digital files CRUSE produces makes it the scanner of choice for organizations such as the Getty Foundation, The Pentagon, NASA, the Vatican and more.
Artists will especially appreciate the unique lighting combinations that ensure faithful reproduction of even the finest surface textures. And we can scan framed art, even under glass.

We comply with copyright law. You must be the creator of the art piece or have written permission from the artist before we can reproduce it.
Fine Art Printing
Using the latest technologies, we can print your digital files or create fine resolution digital images from regular and oversize original art. Our Canon printers use up to 44″ wide roll paper and pigment based archival inks that will extend the life of your prints. We include a UV coating for further protection from the elements.

Canvas stretching services pricing formula:
Add length plus width, then multiply by 2
Examples:
18×24: (18+24) x2 = $84
20×30: (20+30) x2 = $100
Larger frames need corner bracing and/or center supports which are priced at $0.24 per linear inch.
Custom built 1.5″ stretcher bars are also available at $0.27 per linear inch with support bars at $0.24 per linear inch. Call for exact quote.

Gallery Wraps add extra canvas for stretching on wood stretcher bars.
Canvas Stretching is a great way to finish your canvas print and make it ready to hang. We can handle everything for you or you may wish to buy stretcher bars and stretch your own. Either way, we’ve got all the necessary supplies and tools to get the job done.
Our custom cut wood stretcher bars are available in any length up to 10′ and we have the joiners and hanging hardware to go with them.
Artists! ~ We can also stretch plain art canvas for your original paintings.
